Crew Welfare Van Ventilation

The welfare of your workforce whilst travelling to and from their place of work is very important to us. As a result we provide high quality wind powered roof mounted ventilation products which can be fitted to a welfare or mess van as part of the conversion process.

Our ventilators are designed to extract in the lightest of winds so still continue to extract even when the engine of the welfare van is switched off and the vehicle parked up.

Flettner^® ventilators are widely used on fleets of crew welfare vans and are generally specified for three major reasons:

To extract fumes or stale air from vans (for driver and passenger comfort and for health and safety reasons). This applies especially to welfare vans fitted with lavatories and small kitchen areas.
To minimise condensation within welfare vans. This applies especially to situations where there are cooking facilities or where wet overalls and equipment have to be stored in the vehicle. The installation of the ventilators in this case significantly reduces the damage to equipment and the deterioration of the vehicle’s interior through water build up and mould growth.
To reduce the temperature inside vehicles during summer months for crew comfort and for the protection of equipment or perishable goods. (The daytime interior temperature of un-ventilated vans even in temperate latitudes during the summer months can reach 100ºF in the sunshine or higher still when the van is stationary).
